Railway station is situated at the Komsomol’skaya square — the square of Three railway stations.
It connects Moscow with the regions of North, Ural, Syberia, Far East, and also with the capitals of China, Mongolia, DPRK. Yaroslavskiy railway station encompasses part of traffic flow of Kurskiy railway station Gor’kovskoye direction at the c9nnecting line Friazevo-Mytishchi. At this point begins the longest trunk railroad Moscow-Vladivostok, which has the length of 9302 km.

Around 300 pairs of trains start from this railway station on a daily basis, and also a vast amount of local passenger carriages is performed.
